DIP and PLCC Socket Probing Adapters
Ironwood offers adapters for probing DIP and PLCC sockets.
DIP Socket Probes
Our socket probing adapters for DIP packages reliably connect test equipmentto in-circuit devices. Gold plated test points are typically 0.025″ square, standard 0.1″ headers. The headers are arranged in dual rows to one side or single row on either side of the DIP package.
Wire wrap pins (3-level) are available. Please contact us if you need these. The Ironwood part number remains the same, with the addition of the -W option.
PLCC Socket Probes
Our PLCC socket probing adapters plug into PLCC sockets and provide access to all signals at gold plated, 0.025″ square test points. The device being tested is housed in a production PLCC socket on the adapter.
Similar capabilities are also provided by several versions our multi-piece PLCC probing adapters (or “Carrier Adapters”) that incorporate a socket plug base.
PLCC To PGA Socket Plugs
Our PLCC to PGA socket probing adapters plug into PLCC sockets and provide access to all signals at gold plated, 0.025″ square test points. A pluggable PGA pattern on the adapter accepts a PGA device being tested.
